June 25, 2005I had my truck looked at the other day. It's a 93 s10 w/ a 2.8l.I'm having a problem with fuel getting into the throttle body.
Here's what I checked(all work fine)
-Full length of fuel line
-Pressure of fuel is at perfect level
Now this is what happens:Turn key to ON position,Crank engine over,no fuel comes out of injectors. But if you put gas into the throttle body,it will start-and if I keep my foot on the gas,it stays running. When I let off the gas it stalls.
The mechanic told me that these engines have problems with the Oil Pressure Sensor. The oil sensor does just what it sounds like, senses oil pressure.I guess it wont let the injectors run unless it senses pressure when it's turning over. But oil pressure is also perfect. He said just to replace the sensor. My 2.8l only has 85,000miles on it...Does this sound like my problem? If not, what the Hell is going on?Thanks...
