April 6, 2005i have a 2000 as well same set up but mine are 50lb autoloc but in the door panel there is the arm rest mine fit nice right in side that so i bolted it on the door facing out so the poper is away from the window its a short distance might help u might not
May 3, 2005i have a 96, and the popper is placed at the bottom of the door jam, but on the cab, not the door. havent had any problems with it yet, except, from putting too much pressure on the door, while pulling shut, because the poppersr are srong and large, i ovaled the door hinge pin hole. so be careful not to pull down on the door- pull in.
June 21, 2006go to www.suicidedoors.com they got all that stuff
July 14, 2006get it as close as you can and if that spot dont work move it. thats all i can say.
November 7, 2006hey boss
you may have to notch out the window at the bottom just enough to fit in the door you will never see that part of the window i am having the same problem
December 31, 2006are you attaching it to the rod?i was using stock poppers from the tailgate of a blazer and had absolutely zero problems popping my doors open.disconnect the outside doorhandle rod from the door latch and attach the popper directly to the eyeloop that handle rod was connected to 35 pound poppers will be plenty,50 will probably rip the latch right off lol
