March 30, 2005im looking to find out how the pully for the a/c and power steering belt is setup. im thinking that the new head we put on has a bolt hole in a different position than the original. maybe a stock photo from someone would help clear my things up.
March 30, 2005id appreciate it, taking a few picts was the last thing on my mind when we started $1900 ago.
March 31, 2005I hear that man. I just swapped in a new 2600 motor into my mazda also. I'll take some pics tonight and post them. If they don't come out, I'll take some tomorrow when its light out.
April 4, 2005Hey bill, What do you exactly need the pictures of? The tensioner pulleys for the A/C and power steering? The A/C one does bolt to the head and the power steering one bolts to the timing chain cover. I can get a decent pic of the A/C one but the power steering one is harder to see, due to the fact that there is just soooo much crap bolted to the front of that motor. Let me know and I'll try and get you some good pics.
April 5, 2005I will take a closer look wed , but im sure this is the pulley that boltson to the head
April 7, 2005was able to spend some time on the belts and pulleys today, the tensioner/pulley that i had was for the pwr steering on the bottom left. What i need to find out is where or how a tensioner is setup for the ac compressor . Looks like it may come up and bolt to the head and block
April 7, 2005Ya the AC tension pulley bolts to the lower right side of the head. Heres a pic. hope it helps!
April 8, 2005thanks for the pic,i remember seeing that pully b4, got to keep looking on find some place that has a new one. also what kind of gas mileage are you getting with that 2.6
April 8, 2005I get about 25-26 mpg. I had to purchase that pulley also when I redid the motor because the bearing was screwed up in it. I bought one from a mazda dealership. Only cost about $30 and the bearing was sealed on the new pulley unlike the original.
