February 28, 2005ok i got 4' blocks and full stock leaves in the rear and turned down torsion bars in teh front....but i wanna get lower...what should i do...
February 28, 2005if the ride doesnt matter much, you could always mono leaf it
March 2, 2005Depends on your money supply really.
March 2, 2005I would deffinantly mono leaf it. the ride sucks but its free.
March 2, 2005nono! mono leafing is bad.. r u guys nuts, thats the quickest way to kill u joints and snapping leafs... if anything take the 2 middle leafs out and keep the overload leaf in, it keeps the axel from hitting the frame so much and u wont get axel wrap and kill u joints, i had a mono leaf in my truck for three day and it was the ****iest ride ever and for the front just trim the bump stops and crank the tortions more
March 3, 2005by mono leaf i ment leave the overload leaf in
March 3, 2005ok well mono leaf is 1 leaf (1 = mono), be more specific
March 6, 2005There's a thread on this board where I explain the pro's and con's of mono-leafing, and how leaving the overload in on a lowered truck is useless. If you want to dig it up I think it's titles "b2200 lowering question", or something like that.
Anyways, point is, you can MONO-leaf it, and if you have good drop shocks, or airshocks, you'll be fine, these trucks dont have near enough power to bend a leaf.
March 6, 2005ok whatever u say man, but ive done this enough times to see what happens when u mono leaf a mazda, i have ssen a frame crack cuz of it, so ill keep my mouth shut cuz i apparently dont know about lowering a mazda but yet mines bagged and i dont know what im doing.... lol
March 7, 2005This is whats gonna happen. After you mono leaf it or do what ever to the Leafs, your going to see more bagged out minis & you wanna spend more time & money to 4 link it, C notch & bag it. So I would say leave it with 4" blocks until your ready to bag it. Take out the front bump stops but dont tork it to low!
